Hans, b. approx 1915, d. 9 April 1942, Dijon, France. A motorcycle racer after whom the
Hans de Beaufort-beker (trophy) is named. Helped allied airmen to safety during

Her husband, Lieven de Beaufort, was director of the Amsterdam Zoological Museum from 1922-1949. He was from a wealthy, aristocratic family.
