Other information:

In 1747 moved from Baytown to Peacockstown. His house was at the N.W. end. It lay between two adjoining places, Glascarn and Mullinahob. Not far, on the eastern side, was "Kilrue House", then the residence of a great friend, George Lowther, M.P. for Co. Meath. Lowther was at one time "Father of the Irish House of Commons".

His wife was a descendant of Captain Sands, whose actions at the Siege of Athlone in 1691 are commemorated in Smollett's History.
